4 Tips for SCHS Band
- Make sure you turn in all your assignments. Every week you are assigned to play a part of your music for a grade. You must record the assignment at home and e-mail it to the band director for a grade when you're done. An easy way to fail the Band is if you don't do/don't turn in the assignment. If you keep this as a priority you will have a high grade in the class.
- Make sure to attend all rehearsals (unless you have an reasonable excuse). This also counts against your grade if you don't show up. Most likely you will have practice once a week, so make sure you show up. If show up every week you'll gain the teacher's trust.
- Don't act up in class. If you don't act up in class you won't be under the teacher's radar (meaning he/she won't be monitoring you during class) Acting up in class leads to consequences such as not going on trips or not participating in certain events. So make sure you have good behavior in class.
- And lastly, Have fun! Band is a place where you can socialize with your friends while doing what you like which is playing music on instruments. Before you know it, high school will fly by and you will have the memories you made with your friends in band. So enjoy your time there for as long as you can.
